Christspiracy — from Christ + conspiracy — is the latest provocative film by Kip Andersen and Kameron Waters. It continues heir highly influential series of documentaries released in recent years on Netflix, which includes Cowspiracy, Seaspiracy, and What the Health.
Through meticulous research and in-depth interviews, the filmmakers pose a powerful question: “How would Christ kill an animal?” Engaging with historians, believers, and religious leaders from major world faiths, the two American directors explore the ethical dilemmas surrounding animal slaughter and the relationship between religion and the sanctity of life.
Reflecting the weight of these themes, the design adopts a bold and symbolic approach. We created a dynamic logotype in which the letter "T" evokes the shape of the Christian cross—visually disrupted in a way that suggests slaughter, a central motif of the film. The only vivid color used is blood-red, amplifying the emotional gravity of the message.
To frame the compositions, we incorporated and reinterpreted paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, an artist known for his vegetarianism and compassion for animals. His Renaissance works, rich in depictions of nature and life, lend a timeless depth to the film’s core question about respect for all living beings.
